Bears Sign 1990 #1 Draft Pick, QB Jeff George

espn.com is reporting that free agent Jeff George signed a one-year contract to return to the NFL. Financial details were not immediately available, but it is anticipated that the contract is for the league minimum of $760,000, prorated over the final five games of this season. The deal came after George huddled much of Saturday with Bears coaches and team officials. When this guy came out of the University of Illinois I wished the Bears could get him, but for all of the hype he became a malcontent with most of his teams and never lived up to his potential, BUT he's HAS to be better than Krenzel, Quinn, and Hutchinson combined!

I don't see this as a sign of the end times... It's more a sign of someone who needs to get a life!

the thing with jeff is that he is known as the "uncoachable-one". he doesn't listen to the coaches and he ends up playing only how HE wants to. it is frustrating too, cause he'll usually get going quick and play well, then all of a sudden, start stinkin'.
