He finally lost... WTF? I even knew the answer and I know nothing!!!

kenjennings.jpg

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The longest winning streak in television game show history ended on Tuesday when "Jeopardy!" champion Ken Jennings lost after he collected more than $2.5 million in 74 victories.
Jennings walked away with $2,520,700 in cash, in what the syndicated TV show's distributors said was a record for the most money ever won on a television game show, as well as the most victories.

The 30-year-old software engineer from Salt Lake City started his winning streak in June, fielding questions on everything from Shakespeare to hip-hop music in an impressive run that made him a household name and boosted "Jeopardy!" audience ratings by 22 percent over the same period last year.

He was brought down by what seemed a relatively easy question: Which U.S. company's white-collar employees mostly worked only four months a year?
Asked Jennings answered FedEx. His opponent, California realtor Nancy Zerg, gave the correct answer -- tax preparer and financial services company H&R Block.

Amazing, isn't it? Maybe he wanted to get the hell out of LA and get back to his home.

Ken was the greatest champ and became a friend to all including us for he brought happiness into our home nightly. Not only was he a great champ but more so a wonderful person to all. He showed great respect to his contestants and his sense of humor kept all of us alert and awaiting his next stunt! Laughter is a gift. His brillance also a gift. We miss him dearly and hope he comes into our area just to shake his hand and congratulate "the greatest champ of all times!" A champ of great personality, knowlege, and dignity. Thanks Ken for making our home a happy place. We wish you were still on and we were sorry you came in second during the tournament. Brad seems like a great guy too. But please try to come back tot he show or start your own!!! We and many will be your biggest fans. Enjoy your winnings and especially your family. You displayed much love for them and in todays world you are a great example for the family! We wish you and your family the best. My mother would have loved you. She sat at home doing many a crossword puzzle and became a jeopardy champ of her own. She knew all the answers and would have made a great contestant. I only wish I had some of her knowlege. Again you deserve all you received and more. Hope you return because we miss your jokes and winning smile. God bless you, your family and all involved in bringing you into our home.

Enjoy yourlife and remain the wonderful guy you are!
Our prayers,

Gerard & Dorothy Bolduc & family & friends
