Microsoft Corp., the world's largest software maker, said on Thursday it will recall 14.1 million power cords for its Xbox video game console after a defect gave some users minor singe burns and scorched carpets.
I checked out my son's at the web site and it said his was not defective. Should I trust Microsoft?????

European ones only, they're 220V.
I checked out mine and found that hackers had broken in and installed a few thousand games for old consoles and a kick ass media center.
Weird. Stupid Microsoft security...
Well, since they knew about this for awhile but kept it quiet until they had enough new ones to cover replacing them, thus potentially increasing the risk of fires, I would have to say no, you can not trust them.
Never trust the evil empire.
I can't wait until the next Xbox!
