Sorry Steve, but the closest Indy 500 finish ever was 10 years later in 1992 when Al Unser Jr. beat Scott Goodyear by a mear .043 seconds.
Daniel, "That Rick guy", that's pretty funny given that Mears won the Indy 500 4 times. Only 3 people have done that, A.J. Foyt, Al Unser Sr. and Rick Mears.
