Apple Launches New ITunes Phone too...

SAN FRANCISCO - Apple Computer Inc. Chief Executive Steve Jobs introduced a long-anticipated music-playing cell phone on Wednesday and surprised the faithful with a new pencil-thin iPod.

The phone, called the ROKR and made by Motorola Inc., will come loaded with iTunes software, store up to 100 songs and include a color display screen and a built-in camera.

The ROKR, Apple's first foray into the mobile telephony market, will include built-in dual-stereo speakers as well as stereo headphones that also serve as a mobile headset.

Users will not be able to load the phone with music files over cellular networks, however. They must transfer songs from their computers. That contrasts with popular over-the-air music purchases available in such countries as Japan.

This phone is suprising similar to the Motorola E398....a lot cheaper too.

either thats a woman with man-hands or a guy with really fucked up fingernails... either ways, its freakin me out!

I'll tell you this. Hands down this is the phone that I've been waiting for. iTunes is by far the best music player I've worked with, includes a cd burner that will burn cd's and you get free songs weekly.

Check my blog for links to about 28 free songs by putting in free iTunes in the search box in the upper left hand corner of the top blue bar.

That's in addition to the weekly free songs which are mostly great (I don't usually, that's usually I have found exceptions, like rap).

I had been saving my pennies for one of the 60 gb iPods, but now I am strongly inclined to get this instead, since the Motorola phones are better than most of the others out there.

I find the idea that once the call ends you go back to your song where it was interuppted very cool, I only wonder if you can use it for Musak while you have someone on Call Waiting hold - the music possibilities are endless!
