IHMC poll... Paid survey sites...

Has anyone tried to make money by joining any of the paid survey sites out on the net? I get tons of spam for them but I'm sure that 99.9% of them are scams.

The reason I'm asking is simple... I have a few friends who are out of work and out of $$$. If there is a legitimate way to make a few bucks doing online surveys that would help them a bunch!

If you know of some legitimate survey sites please post them in the comments. Include info about your overall experience, realistic earning potential, time required per survey, etc.

Just make sure you never pay someone for a list of paid survey sites. The information is available on Google for free. Just gotta poke around a little.

and/or try Googling "paid survey scam" (without quotes) to find a discussion thread where people mention legitimate survey sites.

I use sites like this all the time and I do get paid. Check out this site and this one too.

I've gotten a nice amount of cash and free stuff over the past two years. Nothing I could retire on, but helps pay small bills here and there.
