Ski Dubai.......

Next time you find yourself over in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai make sure to stop in the Ski Dubai shop where they actually have 5 indoor ski slopes where they claim the temperature is maintained at a comfortable -1º to -2º.
I think if I didn't live in the U.S. I would want to live in Dubai. They've got some cool shit goin on over there, they've got no clue though as to what's a "comfortable temperature".

Hmmm... -1 to -2 degrees CECLIUS (What the rest of the world uses - including Dubai) is more like 28-30 degrees Farenheight.
I've been to Dubai, and it is a trip. I lived in the United Arab Emirates where the city is located for around 6 months. Kick ass place.
it's pretty pathetic that people would travel to the dessert to ski when you can spend the same amount and go to the mountains. as for dubai being a "Kick ass place", you need to spend a few more months there. it's probably the most shallow and racist city in the world. The G.C.C. loves thier slaves.
Dude I have lived in Dubai all my life, I am an Indian. It is one of the cities with the least crime in the world.
Have you ever been out side of your mom's basement ?? Do you even know where Dubai is located in a Map ? Or in which country is belongs to ??
As for the G.C.C.having slaves, unlike your country they have never had slaves or slavery.
The reason they have this ski slope is because it is a tourist destination and considered the shopping capital of the world. And the averege temp. is 40'C, so for us snow is a novelty.
yes i know where dubai is, i have worked in the gulf for the past 4 years. maybe slavery was a bit harsh word, perhaps indentured servants would be a better description but i've never been one to use euphemisms. pick up a copy of the khaleej times and you can read for yourself about workers having thier passports taken by thier employers and not being paid. i don't know what you would call it, but when you are forced to work for no wages, you live in sub-human "labour camps" in al-quos and you can't leave the country, i call it slavery.
King Faisal only abolished in Saudi ArabiaIn 1962.
here's some info on the U.A.E.
