USC "Dynasty" Questioned....
It started as a joke on the Internet. Annoyed by talk that USC was going for its third straight national title, some joker sent out an e-mail featuring pictures of then-LSU coach Nick Saban holding aloft the 2003 national championship trophy; USC coach Pete Carroll doing the same in 2004; and finally Texas quarterback Vince Young with the 2005 trophy after defeating USC.
The tag line taunted the University of Southern California for its “onepeat” in the national championship game. The e-mail eventually made its way to an LSU graduate in Dallas, who decided the message bore repeating.
Onepeat.com was born.
