Low temperature (liquid nitrogen) superconductor, probably a palladium composite. Originally developed at Cornell in the 80's
I had one of those as a kid. Smaller super conducter and a tiny cube (1 or 2 mm) of super strong rare earth magnet, got it from the back of a magazine. If you stuck that to a piece of metal good luck ever removing it.
I never knew you could life the SC with the magnet. Who knew I'd come to IHMC and learn some science?
