Holocaust cartoon fair opens in Iran... WTF? All this over a f'in cartoon...
TEHRAN (AFP) - An international contest of cartoons on the Holocaust opened in Tehran in response to the publication in Western papers last September of caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed.
"We staged this fair to explore the limits of freedom Westerners believe in," Masoud Shojai, head of the country's "Iran Cartoon" association and the fair organizer, said.
"They can freely write anything they like about our prophet, but if one raises doubts about the Holocaust he is either fined or sent to prison," he added.

The freaking idiots don't even know how to spell "holocaust"...what is with the "holocust"??? Is that some stupid French spelling....dumbass terrorist pricks.

What gave them the idea that cartoons regaurding the holocaust would offend us?
I'm seriously going to give my self an aneurysm trying to follow their train of thought.
Just because we're in with Israel doesn't mean jabs at the Jewish people are going to piss us off. Even the Jews can (and do) laugh at their own expense. Come on. We're Americans. We thrive on being able to laugh at ourselves and poke fun at one another.
Further more, picking the holocaust to make comics about is simply distasteful. But still, no offense taken here. Afterall, Americans weren't the ones responsible for those tragic events.
Perhaps they should save their infamous holocaust cartoons for when Germany pisses them off.
Same here. I'm totally NOT offended. Were already have plenty of cartoons that make fun of jews and the holocaust. I wonder if south park and family guy made the cut.
