COCONUT GROVE, Fla. -- A man kept a dead body in his home four days after the woman apparently died in her sleep following a night of partying, authorities said.

When Angel Pichel, 41, discovered the woman died, he wrapped her body in a comforter and left her in his living room, police said. An investigation began Monday after an anonymous caller told police Pichel was asking for ways to dispose of a body.

Pichel has been charged with failing to report a dead body.

"He just continued going to work like nothing at all," said Miami Sgt. Eunice Cooper.

The two met at a bar Thursday night and went back to Pichel's condo, where they did drugs, police said. When Pichel woke up Friday he left his home briefly.

"He said he thought she was asleep. When he returned, he found her dead," according to an arrest report.

The 43-year-old Nicaraguan woman had to be identified through fingerprints, detectives said. Her identity has not been released. Foul play was not suspected, but the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
