As you probably noticed IHMC has been in a bad way for the past 14 hours. Something that got updated on the server completed hosed our CMS platform. I'm still digging to figure out exactly what caused it and how to get IHMC back to 100%.

Things will probably go down occasionally so please be patient.

FINALLY, logged in users don't have to look at ads!

IHMC is not, and never has been, about making money. It's about you guys, the regular visitors! This should make your visits more enjoyable. If you want to help contribute to the success of IHMC all you need to do is keep coming back and share IHMC with your friends!

The ads provide a crucial revenue stream to pay the fees to keep the site running. From this point forward I will look to non-logged in traffic to provide that stream. There will be some additional types of ads used. If you don't want the ads you should register or log in NOW!!!

Just noticed that WordPress handles RSS feed completely different. I'm working on finding a way ti redirect the old feed addresses to the new ones but I'm not a great htaccess guy.

This is still very much a work in progress but I finally got sick of the performance issues of the last platform. This time I've migrated IHMC over to WordPress. Seems OK so far...

A couple of things...

• Comments can only be added on the entry pages at this time. I'll see what I can do to bring it forward again.
• Comments for the past year are pretty much gone. The service I use ties the comment to the URL. With the change the URLs cannot be the same format as before. Ugh...
• A bunch of the authors on the posts are out of whack. No idea what happened with the import. If I can figure it out I'll fix it.
• IHMC now has the capability to restrict content to people with logins. Just keep in mind that restricted content is for 18+.
• More cool stuff to come!
• If you are an author and I forgot to send you an email let me know.
• If anyone wants to be an author please let me know!!!

Please let me know if it is faster and what you like/dislike on this incarnation of IHMC. If everyone hates it I can still switch it back to the old beast of a site.

Hey guys! I need some feedback from the IHMC community on a new commenting system that I'm looking to deploy on IHMC.
This is a big change from the old method but it has some great benefits. Such as:
Pros:
It's FAST! Should make it much easier to get people to comment.
Comments will no longer need to rebuild the page.
FaceBook and Yahoo ID integration.
Can be placed inline on all pages. Comments can be shown under posts on the main page if we want.
Allows for HTML and picture uploads!
Can be moderated easily.
Cons:
Can't customize the look and feel.
Can not display a comment count on the entry.
Will not work with the recent comments widget.
Does not use IHMC login accounts. (kinda good, kinda bad)
If you have a chance I would appreciate it if you could look at a sample page using the new comments, post a comment and provide some basic feedback to me.
