Scorpions calls it quits

|

Message to our Fans
It was always our pleasure, our purpose in life, our passion and we were fortunate enough to make music for you - whether it was live on stage or in the studio, creating new songs. While we were working on our album these past few months, we could literally feel how powerful and creative our work was - and how much fun we were still having, in the process. But there was also something else: We want to end the Scorpion's extraordinary career on a high note. We are extremely grateful for the fact that we still have the same passion for music we've always had since the beginning. This is why, especially now, we agree we have reached the end of the road. We finish our career with an album we consider to be one of the best we have ever recorded and with a tour that will start in our home country Germany and take us to five different continents over the next few years.

We want you, our fans, to be the first to know about this. Thank you for your never-ending support throughout the years! We uploaded the very first snippets from our new album for you.And now... let's get the party started and get ready for a "Sting in the Tail"!See you on the world tour.

Former Megadeth guitarist slams Dave Mustaine

|

Former Megadeth guitarist
Jeff Young recently posted on his blog the following :" Hey Mega fans,Won't spend much time on this. However, one of my guitar students brought in a recent issue of Guitar World magazine containing some simply insane dialog from the man, the myth, the legend (in his own mind), Mustaine.

Over the years, this tragic cat has made a hobby of dissing, exaggerating and just plain lying on some level about nearly every talented musician that has passed through his dysfunctional little ensemble. Literally, spitting in the face of the very folks that covered for his drugged out, sloppy-ass wanking and helped make him successful.

Until now, I chose to keep my mouth shut, even for the VH1 Behind the Music
episode. And boy, could I have eaten up some serious air time with the truth about what REALLY went on "behind the music" in Megadeth. But it's been well over twenty years and the guy just can't seem to stop himself.

Van Halen bends their Fans over & Fucks 'em hard in the Ass !

|

No this is NOT the crazy Cat-Lady from the Simpsons...
It's really Mr Van Halen himself !

0_21_eddie_van_halen.jpg
According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, VAN HALEN netted an extra $1 million dollars in the fall of 2007 when up to 500 of the best seats to each of about 20 of the band's concerts were pulled from the Ticketmaster system and passed directly to ticket scalpers.
The brokers allegedly kept 30% of the marked-up sale price for themselves, and the remaining 70% was divided among Ticketmaster, its handlers AND Van Halen !

The move, according to the report, was part of Ticketmaster's initiative, codenamed "Project Showtime," to capture a piece of the sky-high prices charged by scalpers, which can exceed a ticket's face value by hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars. They could then compete by offering to share the scalpers' revenue with entertainers and venues.

Astaroth : Doing so they never gave a chance to their Fans to get the best tickets for their Concerts so I say this to you : FUCK YOU VAN HALEN !

KISS's new song

|

Kiss has released the first taste from the forthcoming album `Sonic Boom`.
'Modern Day Delilah' is the first new music from Kiss in 11 years.`Sonic Boom` Since 1998's 'Psycho Circus'. I've been a KISS fan since 1976, I guess I always will but this seems futile. All KISS has wanted for the last 25 years is our money. They should've call it quits after creature of the night, or maybe even after Love gun. Anyways, Gene Simmons just turned freakin 60 yesterday (the 25th) Time is on our side...

Sixx:A.M. Heroin Diaries Soundtrack

|

This Album was released in 2007 but I only came across it one month ago through a bud at work ( Thanks Nick! ). I wasn't planning on liking this album but i gave it a listen anyways. I wasn't blown away, but the next morning I woke up ('round Six:am btw!) and the songs were still playing in my head, like a bad infection it wouldn't go away.

The CD is the "Soundtrack" to Nikki Sixx's Book : The Heroin Diaries: A Year In The Life Of A Shattered Rock Star. The CD made me want to read the book which is just awesome, you wouldn't believe the shit Sixx's done! Like dying...twice ! I recommand both.

R.I.P. Les Paul

|

Guitar legend Les Paul has died of pneumonia. He was 94, Thursday in White Plains, N.Y., with his family at his side.

Paul is considered the "father of the electric guitar" for his invention of the solid-body instrument. Paul built his own solid-body guitar with amplification in 1941, because he wanted audiences to hear him better, trying to overcome problems with earlier hollow-body electric guitars, that suffered from feedback and distortion.

In 1952, Gibson Guitar Corp. introduced the Les Paul model. He also developed recording techniques such as multi-tracking and echo delay, and he created an early-model synthesizer. Paul was an innovator throughout his life in music.
