Valerie Baca, Lawerence Bettale Jr., Rene Bettale, Lawrence Bettale Sr. and two teens were arrested after an off-duty police officer used a stun gun to control a fight at a Colorado Olive Garden Restaurant .

Westminster, Colo., police said two families who have been feuding were seated near one another Wednesday night and it came to a boiling point when one of the families was leaving and made a snide remark or gesture to the other family.

Police said bottles were broken, furniture was thrown, food was flying.

An off-duty police officer had just walked out of the door when the fight broke out, so a person ran out to get him, said Stephanie Topkoff with Westminster Police Department.

The officer tried to tame the fighting families and eventually had to use his stun gun, Topkoff said.

The group now faces charges of assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

Google has updated its desktop search tool with an automated sidebar that learns your interests as you surf.

Google Desktop 2 is available for download here and gives users the ability to search their own PC and the web simultaneously as well as including an intelligent sidebar that presents topics likely to be of interest and monitors RSS feeds.

Looking at the user's habits allows the software to filter the information in the sidebar, limiting the need for manual configuration.

AURORA - From the Creative (But Unsuccessful) Thieves Dept.: Aurora police are investigating a scam discovered at a far East Side bank involving a fake night deposit box and a few well-placed signs.

Officers found the ruse on Friday at Chase Bank in the Westfield Fox Valley Shopping Center, 4300 Fox Valley Center Drive. According to police, someone had taped "Out of Order" signs over two night deposit boxes. Those same signs directed customers to use a phony temporary night deposit box placed under the real ones, police said.

High tech security? Aurora police don't think so. A creative scam involving a fake drop box and some deceptive signs on the real ones fooled at least one depositor Friday.

Police discovered some money and checks inside the fake deposit box, though Aurora police spokesman Dan Ferrelli wouldn't say how much was found. It remains unknown how many other deposits, if any, were placed in the box, or how long the box had been there before police were told about it, Ferrelli said.

No arrests have been made, but police are hoping that security camera video will help them track down a suspect, Ferrelli said.

The tip-off, according to Ferrelli, was that the fake deposit box was not anchored or attached to anything. This caused one of the bank's customers to become suspicious and call the police.
