This is the winner of the NFL's "Pitch Us Your Idea for the Best NFL Super Bowl Commercial Ever. Seriously." contest. Yes, it does sound good, and it is a good idea to get fan participation, but I think that the NFL is getting seriously lazy. Considering that there were only 1,700 commercial pitches, I think it kind of bit them in the ass if you think about what they could have made by selling that air time.

The Chicago Bears earned home-field advantage throughout the playoffs the hard way.
Chicago blew a 24-3 second-half lead Sunday and then recovered with big plays from backups Rashied Davis and Adrian Peterson in overtime to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 34-31.
Robbie Gould, who missed earlier in overtime from 37 yards, connected on a 25-yard field goal with 3:37 left to give the Bears the victory.
Coupled with Washington's upset win at New Orleans, the Bears (12-2) got the home-field advantage in all of their games during the NFC playoffs. The NFC North champions had already earned a first-round bye.
Gould's field goal came after Davis made a great-over-the-shoulder catch of 28 yards on a pass from Rex Grossman to the Tampa Bay 20.
Trailing 24-3 in the third quarter, the Bucs (3-11) stunned the Bears with three fourth-quarter touchdowns, tying the game on Tim Rattay's 44-yard TD pass to Ike Hilliard with 3:44 left.
Rattay, who replaced the struggling Bruce Gradkowski in the first half, also had a 64-yard TD pass to Joe Galloway that capped a 95-yard drive in the final quarter.

ST. LOUIS -- Rex Grossman looked like a quarterback who had no intention of giving up his job and Devin Hester looked like a return man with no intention of being caught.
The end result Monday night was a 42-27 Bears victory which put them one step closer to home field advantage throughout the playoffs at 11-2 and possibly several steps closer to quieting cynics who've searched elsewhere for a legitimate NFC favorite.
Hester set an NFL record with his fifth and sixth touchdown returns of the season while Grossman completed 13-of-23 for 200 yards and two touchdowns without an interception, while the Bears' running game accounted for 172 yards.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) -- It's no ordinary World Cup: the soccer ball sounds like the clatter of a rattlesnake's tail, fans are barred from cheering too loudly and the sidelines are clear plastic walls meant to keep the players in-bounds.
Save for the goalkeepers, all of the athletes are legally blind.
Welcome to the fourth World Championships of Soccer for the Blind.
Every four years, players compete for Cup glory in an eight-nation tournament drawing hundreds, not millions, of fans to a game without the noisy hype of media and merchandising. Yet even in sightless soccer, the rivalries are fierce.

Doctors in Pittsburgh said Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers quarterback, remains in serious but stable condition after Monday's motorcycle wreck.
He broke his jaw and nose in the crash. Doctors said the multiple facial fractures were successfully repaired during more than 7.5 hours of surgery. The lead surgeon said doctors didn't discover any other serious injuries.
Police said Roethlisberger wasn't wearing a helmet when his bike hit a car traveling in the opposite direction, which is perfectly legal in Pennsylvania. Roethlisberger was thrown from his bike on impact.
No charges have been filed. Published reports identify the car's driver as 62-year-old Martha Fleishman of Pittsburgh. Her husband said his wife, who was not injured, feels "terrible." He said he and his wife wish Roethlisberger "a speedy and complete recovery."
It's not yet known if the accident will affect his chances of playing for the Steelers this season.
Roethlisberger has said he likes to ride without a helmet, a habit that led to a stern lecture from Steelers coach Bill Cowher. Cowher warned his prized quarterback about the dangers of riding a motorcycle after Cleveland tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. tore up knee ligaments in a bike accident, causing him to miss an entire season.
The 24-year-old Roethlisberger helped guide the Steelers to the Super Bowl championship last season in only his second year of NFL action. He completed 62.7 percent of his passes for 2,385 yards with 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions last season, his second in the league.

A Port Charlotte fisherman caught a great hammerhead shark near Boca Grande on Tuesday that could be a new world sport fishing record. Fisherman Bucky Dennis was alone on his boat when the animal took the bait, a 25-pound stingray. Dennis said it took five hours to land the great hammerhead shark after it towed their fishing boat 12 miles from Boca Grande Pass. The female great hammerhead was measured at 14.5 feet long and 1,262 pounds, with its hammer measuring more than three feet across.

Simple and Easy to use
The Ballfinder SCOUT™has been designed for easy and simple operation by golfers out on the golf course.
When you find yourself looking for your lost ball, the Ballfinder SCOUT™will play an important role in locating it.
The Revolutionary Ballfinder SCOUT™ technology will improve the way you play golf!
One of the first things that comes to most people’s minds when they hear about the development of the new Ballfinder SCOUT™ is that it must find golf balls by working off something embedded in the ball. It doesn’t. That would clearly violate USGA rules forbidding tampering with the ball. Ballfinder SCOUT™ does not rely on gimmicks or illegal devices to help you find your ball faster.

I used to be a huge fan of the NBA - back when Michael Jordon, Larry Bird, James Worthy, Dominique Wilkins, Mugsy Bogues, Mark Eaton, Vinny "the Microwave" Johnson, and a boat-load of other great players dominated the game. Now it's all about the "me" in the word team.

But it really is great that the Bulls are back to the playoffs this year. And they are matched up against Miami... Miami has Shaq, The Glove, D-Wade, Walker, and Zo while Chicago has.... ummmm.... yeah.
Maybe the Bulls can drag it out to six games anyway...... God I miss Mike!

Thanks Gamera! ;-)

Yes i know...not long ago i said i wouldnt post anything ever regarding Hockey (my Post on a dead hockey legend had the lowest ever HITS in IHMC history...i think) BUT i 've a feeling you maniacs are gonna love this one: 7 min of Hockey Fights and 45 sec. of Incredible goals. There are no NASCAR cars in there,,,no HOMERUNS, no TOUCHDOWNS and not a single HOOP. All it is is Complete Hockey Brutality, in one fight (towards the end) i counted the guys giving eachother 35, yes THIRTY-FIVE Synchronized Punches. These guys are so freaking pumped on adrenalin that they dont feel a thing, but you should see them the next day !!! MOMMY ????
If you wonder why the referies dont stop the fights before they do...they have to wait for one of the fighters to fall down or gets knocked-Out before they're allowed to move in, this rule was made for the refs' own safety as before they use to catch a few runaway punches while trying to seperate a fight. I hope you enjoy this as much as i (repeatadely).
