surfthechannel.com is one cool site, where you can watch almost anything that's ever been on TV.(sitcoms,mini-series,movies,concerts,comedy,sports,cartoons/anime etc.) Tons of stuff. If you have a monthly download maximum ( like me 20G/month Downloads and 10G/Month Uploads) you better watch out ! And the quality's pretty good too.

Sex Offenders Could Be Banned From Net
One state lawmaker wants to ban some sexual predators from the Internet.
Should a person convicted of using the Internet to commit a sex crime lose the ability to use the Internet without supervision?
It might be possible, if a New Jersey lawmaker gets his way.
State Senate President Richard Codey is pushing legislation to keep those convicted of using the Internet to commit a sex crime from further using the Web to exploit kids.
His proposal would keep those convicted of an Internet sex crime from logging onto the Net only with a court order.

Firefox extension Stealther lets you browse the web without leaving a trace of your browsing session on your computer by disabling: EVERYTHING THAT CAN GET YOU INTO TROUBLE!
Alright, so there are plenty of instances when you might want to browse without a trace, and I am certainly not suggesting that there is only one use for this extension, but it does bring to mind Safari's Private Browsing, aka Porn Mode. I'm not saying a thing, though - you kids go ahead and use it for whatever you use it for.

Now we have The Million Dollar Zoom Homepage.
This guy will become a millionaire too and I'll still be sittin in the cubicle.
Here's his theory.....
The idea is simple: to try and make a million dollars (US) by selling 100,000,000 pixels for 1 cent each.
The principle for this came from a guy name Alex Tew and his site The Million Dollar Homepage.
I thought it was a great idea, and I have tried to improve on it. I felt that the only problem with his site is that the blocks of 10x10 pixels that he was selling for $100 were too small to display anything meaningful. So, I've devised a way to give significantly more screenspace to interested parties for the same price. Plus, it adds an element of fun and exploration.
'The Million Dollar Zoom" is set up in a grid of 10,000 x 10,000 pixels. When you first visit the site, the entire grid is displayed in a 400 x 400 pixel window, so each block looks like a little dot. Using the control panel, the visitor can zoom in significantly to see the complete image. The Million Dollar Zoom viewer does not load the entire image at once; it only loads the specific pieces of the image that the visitor wants to see.

The infamous and controversial domain Sex.com has officially been sold to Boston-based Escom LLC for a reported $14 million.
I knew a guy who owned parkdistrictsports.com......... wonder how many millions he could get for that?

If you were a fan of the British sitcom The Office, then you have to checkout these weekly podcasts from it's star Ricky Gervais. They are hilarious.
He's at the top of the list of most popular podcasts in iTunes.
It's the second helping of bunkum from Ricky Gervais and Steve Merchant, co-creators of The Office and Extras. Join them as they trawl the shallow depths of the mind of their co-host Karl Pilkington, a man with the critical faculties of a creationist.
The part in episode 1 about the monkey in space killed me!

Microsoft releases its second Community Technology Preview of Windows Vista to beta testers and subscribers to MSDN and TechNet.
The new CTP release, known as build 5231, provides a first glimpse of Windows Media Player 11 and additions to the Windows Security Center, including hooks for an integrated anti-spyware tool. Improvements to the Vista shell are continuing, diagnostic capabilities are growing, and Internet Explorer 7 is shaping up.
Some of the IE7 screen shots look very cool. I know it's all stuff you could have today in Firefox, but I don't really care.

Back in 1992, after their show at the CERN Hardronic Festival, Tim Berners-Lee asked Silvano de Gennaro for a few scanned photos of "the CERN girls" to publish them on some sort of information system he had just invented, called the "World Wide Web".

Google has gone live with a beta version of their Maps program. I like the graphics a lot. It's going to take some getting used to the interface, but I bet I end up using it instead of Mapquest.

Here are some interesting notes that a dude took at a meeting about Google. For example, did you know....
The prime reason the Google home page is so bare is due to the fact that the founders didn't know HTML and just wanted a quick interface. Infact it was noted that the submit button was a long time coming and hitting the RETURN key was the only way to burst Google into life.

Go to this Google URL and check out all of these webcams that people don't know or don't care are viewable over the net.
You might have to download and install a Panasonic plug-in, but it's worth it.
